Streaming on Mobcrush from iPhone and iPad Gets Even Easier
Mobcrush was the first to make streaming mobile games easy; a process that used to be way more complicated than it needed to be. When it comes to iOS, there are a couple of options to choose from today. You can either tether your iPhone or iPad to your Mac and go live, or you can tether to your PC and broadcast. Both are super easy to do, and only possible with Mobcrush.
The next big question is: what if you could stream live from anywhere? It’s a good question we’ve been getting from our community and today, we’ve got an answer.
At the Worldwide Developers Conference today, Apple announced that their live streaming capabilities are coming to games in iOS 10 with ReplayKit Live.
That means, the dream of streaming your favorite mobile games from anywhere is going to be a reality — our reality.
When iOS 10 is released this fall, any game developer can integrate live streaming into their game with just a bit of extra code. And the best part is, Mobcrush is going to be one of a few places you’ll be able to stream to when you go live.
We gotta say, it’s pretty amazing that this is going to be a possibility, and that everyone in the Mobcrush community has a chance to be a part of it. Your passion and excitement doesn’t go unnoticed. In fact, Mobcrush, along with flaregames, the developers behind Olympus Rising, were selected by Apple to showcase this new feature today at WWDC because of our collective experience in live streaming, community and mobile games. We are truly honored.
So, get ready Mobcrushers. There’s going to be all kinds of new developers and streamers who’ll join us when live streaming games goes live this fall.
